Assin South MP Allegedly Uses His Position To Extort Monney From His Constituents


The Member Parliament (MP) for the people of Assin South Constituency in the pocket of the New Patroric Party (NPP), Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has been allegedly tagged with the collections ¢100.00 from the individuals of the following communities; Assin Nuanua,   Assin Adiembra, Assin Damang, Assin Nyankomase Ahenkro, Assin Adubease, Assin Dawomako, Assin Kwaata, Assin Ando, Assin Manso, Assin Kwame Attah ect. All in the Assin South Constituency of the central region with the aim of supplying them of ECG/PDS Metres since 2017 but the Metres has not been supplied yet and the money has not been refund.

 According to the Assembly members in the mentioned communities, the MP ordered them to take ¢100.00 from any individual who needs some of the household meters.


The Assin South Deputy Secretary for New Patriotic Party Robert Oppong Amoateng has unveiled that, the Assin south NPP is likely to suffer defeat if care is not taken come 2020 election. He said the people no longer believes in the leadership of the party at the constituency level.


According to the Deputy secretary, the most threatening factor among others is the provision of meters. The people have paid Gh 100.0 0 for the ECG/ PDS meters as promised by our Member of Parliament Hon. Rev John Ntim Fordjour for two years now. He added that, the constituents have only been subjected to lies, deceit and disappointment from their lawmaker. Sadly, timelines has been given over and over as to when the meters would be ready but to no avail, The people were promised to have the meters before Dec. 2018, In Dec. 2018, they were reassured that by March 2019….. We are now in May.


      Meanwhile, The Assin South New Patroric Party (NPP) Constituency communications officer Mr Fredrick Danquah spoke on behalf of the member of Parliament Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour described the above statement as a false and rather obnoxious propaganda which should have been expected from the opposition but rather been mischievously peddled by the Asst Constituency Secretary of NPP Assin South for obvious reasons of misleading minds ahead of the upcoming parliamentary primaries which are even yet to be announced and to create disaffection for the hardworking Member of Parliament.
