Mahama's  Community Day SHS Building Abandoned  At Adanse Apagya

One of the John Mahama's community days senior high schools has been abandoned at Adase Apagya in Adanse south District of the Ashanti region. Investigation conducted by the "Operation Left To Rot team" led by a concerned investigative journalist Odiasempa Kwaku Ahiaku indicates that, the building is almost ninety five percent (95%) complete but, currently have been left without any Care.

Former President Mahama in the 2012 NDC manifesto pledged to build 200 Community Day Senior High schools across the country. The purpose of the project is to increase access to Secondary Education in disadvantaged districts as well as improve quality in low performing Senior High Schools.

Former President Mahama in the NDC Manifesto for Election 2012 promised to build 200 of the day schools between 2013 and 2016 with the intention to build at least 50 each year within the four year period. But with a few months to Election 2016, the NDC admitted it was not going to be able to achieve that feat. Mr Mahama, however, inaugurated a few of them for use with the announcement that 75 were ready for use in which one of them is the Said Adanse Apagya community day senior high school.

The team tried its possible best to get in contact with  both former and the current DCEs and the member of Parliament (MPs) of the Said area but only the immediate past member of Parliament Hon Ernest Kofi Yakah responded to explained to the team the process he (Hon Ernest Kofi Yakah) go through before looping for the Said facility in the Constituency (New Adubease Constituency). Both current DCE Hon Francis Ankomah and his Member of Parliament, Hon. George Oduro, has been phoned, text massages but decided not respond.

The team also observed that, the compound of the facility is more or less like a forest, it has turned to a bushy yard, the facility has been also furnished with science lab equipments, some of the leftover paints they used in painting the facility have been also scattered in one of the rooms.

Investigations still ongoing.....
