Are NPP Executives In Assin Central Bargaining With Assin Akropong Youth Association To Suspend Their Demo??



An organized group in Assin Akropong- Wurakese in the Assin Central Constituency of the central region called Akropong Youth Association in collaboration with some concern residents of its surrounding communities has planned to demonstrate over the deplorable road from Assin Borofoyeduru through Akropong to Akim Oda on Monday March 10, 2020.



The demonstration which has been already budgeted and scheduled on the above mentioned date is said to begin at Assin Wurakese through Assin Akropong to Borofoyeduru junction, where a press release will be given to the media and the demonstrators.

The executive with 500 demonstrators will present our petition to the MCE of which he has been informed earlier.


But an information gathering from the grounds indicates that, some NPP executive members in the Constituency are allegedly pressing the traditional Leaders (Nananom) in the area with money to STOP the Youths from embarking on their demonstration. 

According to the source, the Executives are allegedly Bargaining with the leadership of the group through the Nananom to Stop the demonstration so that, they (NPP Executives will bare all the cost involved in their plannings but, the group leaders are insisting they will not accept it.


Meanwhile, the Assin Central Constituency NPP communications officer, uncle Attoh debunked the allegation. He said, he's not aware of any executive member being assigned to bargain with the leadership of the group.
