Samuel Korley Foundation Feeds Over 200 Street Children, Beggars And Hawkers


Some streets in Accra, Ashaiman and it's environs to be precised were full of excitement when a vehicle belonging to Samuel Korley Foundation arrived to distribute food to Persons With Disability (PwDs) and children on the street including young hawkers.

Samuel Korley Foundation; is a Non-Governmental Organization who's mission is to break the vicious cycle of poverty and social isolation and to restore hope for a better future. They believe that every person has the right to access resources and opportunities in order to live and develop with dignity and to become an active and contributing member of our society.

Over 200 packs of nutritious meals with non alcoholic beverages were distributed to beneficiaries as Samuel Korley Foundation touched the grounds again to put smile on the faces of less privileges.

At Ashaiman traffic, lorry station and it's environs, the  aforementioned beneficiaries ruched to have their share of the food.

Briefing the media, the Board Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Godwin Daitey indicated that homeless children and street beggars are deprived of basic needs including nutrition, thus the step to put smile on their faces by at least feeding them.

“We intend to do this regularly, we are motivated by the fact that we achieved our aim of putting smiles on the faces of these precious ones, it is a season of caring, love, unity, and sharing hence, the campaign-Feed the Street.

On the other side, Mr Samuel Korley, the president of the Foundation top up by saying, "it's great sense of pride to work for a brand that's able to do something for others and showing love and empathy towards others is one of our key brand value. We are happy to see the smile on the faces these people". 

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time, we are the ones we’re been waiting for, we are the change that we seek. 

"This is not the first time, we have done some before, we are going some, and we shall do more" Mr Korley noted.

“God bless our Motherland Ghana, God bless you all.”
