Twifo-Attimorkwaa MP Cuts Sod For The Construction Of Market In The Constituency


Member of Parliament (MP) for Twifo-Attimorkwaa in the central region Hon. Abraham Dwuma Odoom in collaboration with the NPP constituency chairman Mr. Kingsford Kwaku Wilson and other executives, has cut the sod for the construction of a market in Twifo Praso town in the Twifo-Attimorkwaa District.

The establishment of the market is part of government's intervention of helping each constituency with 1m dollar. It would comprise a total of 108 stalls, stores, sheds and cubicles.

Hon. Odoom said when the market is completed it would go a long way to improve the living conditions of the people as well as increase the Assembly's revenue.

According to the officiated members which include the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Director in the district Mr. Addae Marfo, said the completion of the market would also help relocate the traders currently selling on the streets and it will also help in the prevention and management of disaster in the district. 

Hon. Dwuma Odoom said the plan for the market had made provision for its future expansion. He urged the community leaders not to allow people to encroach on the land earmarked for the market, but rather guard and protect it for f elo
The project engineer who spoke on behalf of Infrastructure logistics company limited Mr. Fiifi Sangari, gave the assurance that the market would be completed within four months and called for community support and cooperation to ensure the completion of the market on schedule.


 Obaahemaa Suzanna Brew, yam Queen mother thanked the Honorable member of Parliament and the district Assembly for the initiative and kind gesture showed the community. She also appealed to the contractor to spend up with the project so that they would also feel comfortable with their business.
