Asene Manso Akroso MP Celebrates Dedicated And Excellence Service In Education

The Member of Parliament for Asene Manso Akroso constituency in the Eastern Region Hon. George Kwame Aboagye popularly know as OLUWA on Friday December 12, 2025 successfully hosted second memorable Celebration and Best Teachers Award Ceremony for both public and private schools at Akyem Asene.

The awardees were drawn from many categories, including, best teacher in administration, best teacher for SHS, best teacher for JHS (public and private), best teacher for primary (public and private), best teacher for KG (public and private), best teacher in ICT, best Education officer, best Non-teaching staff, and best longest serving and performing teacher in the rural area.

The colourful event brought together number of teachers and students in both public and private schools, parents, traditional authorities and community members in a warmly atmosphere of peace and unity.

With the agendas of the program a wide variety of valuable items were presented to outstanding headteachers, teachers, students, and non-teaching within the Constituency and beyond.

The items include double decker Freezers, boxer motorbikes, Television Sets, Gas Burners, customized plaques.

Addressing the gathering the District Education Director, Mr. Ganyuie Amedagbey Hayford expressed his deep appreciation to Hon. Hon. George Kwame Aboagye for his continuous investment in the educational sector within the constituency.

He noted that such recognition will serve as a strong motivation for teachers to give their best and inspire students to pursue academic excellence.

Mr. Amedagbey stressed that motivation cannot be divorced from resourcing. Promises made to teachers, he said, must be honoured to avoid dampening morale. He urged government, parents, traditional authorities and community leaders to collaborate more effectively to support quality education delivery.

In his speech Hon. Kwame Aboagye reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to improve the quality and standard of education in the constituency.

He emphasized that education remains the most powerful tool for shaping the future of the community and the nation at large.

He noted that their sacrifices and contributions form the bedrock of the constituency’s educational achievements.

The event concluded with joy, inspiration and renewed community spirit as attendees came together to celebrate excellence, commitment and lifelong service.
