  Weed Smoking War Leads To Closure Of Kyerɛmase Basic School Elders, teachers and stakeholders of Kyeremase in Asene Manso Akroso district of the Eastern Region has temporaly closed Kyerɛmase D/A basic school due to security concerns following clashes between suspected weed smokers and teachers in the community over two-three weeks now. According to the report, some young guys in the community were seen by one of the teachers after school hours smoking weed in the class rooms hence he confronted them to asked them to refrain from such activity in the class. The harmless confrontation by the teacher angered the youths to extend of threatening the life of the teacher. The teacher thereafter reported the case at Akim Akroso district police command, police acted on the report, upon reaching the residence of one of the suspects, he pulled out machete and chanced out the security officers.
