Assin Central NPP PC Aspirant vows to industrialize The Constituency

A US based businessman, Mr. Eric Baidoo popularly known as Brother has vowed to industrialize the Assin Central Constituency by investing in manufacturing as well as inviting investors into the area to embark on developmental projects to help the good people of Assin Central.

Mr Baidoo, an indigene of Assin Foso is vying for the position of NPP parliamentary candidate to represent Assin Central for the upcoming primaries which currently has Hon. Kennedy Agyapong as the incumbent member of parliament for the area.

According to him, one or the major problems facing Assin Central is the high unemployment and strongly believes setting up small to medium scale manufacturing facilities in the area will utilize the local produce such as oranges, plantain, palm fruits and process them into packaged products for local consumption as well as export internationally will not only create extensive employment but also prevent local materials from wastage when there’s no immediate demand for them.

The facility will also create indirect employment for out growers, distributors and retailers of the products locally. In turn, profits from the facility will be used to improve the educational, health and living standards of the citizens as well as embark on developmental projects through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

Mr Baidoo has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from KNUST and a Master of Business (MBA) degree in Finance and Accounting from Howard University and currently working on a second Master’s degree at Harvard University in Strategic Management and International Business. His professional experience has had him overseeing multiple manufacturing operations in Asia, Europe and America.  In an exclusive interview with Odiasempa Kwaku Ahiaku, My Baidoo reiterated that his background in Engineering and Manufacturing as well as Senior Management positions him as the best candidate to help develop the area through industrialization.

He came back home to find his friends and loved ones he grew up with who did not have the privilege of living outside Assin community asking for hand downs to put food on the table for themselves and their families which he found unacceptable. In that, if he hadn’t left Assin, he probably would have been in the same predicament as his brothers and sisters he left behind and asking for hand downs.

He further asserted that Assin Central community is a dignified one who will want to go out and earn a decent living wage for themselves, proudly go home to the satisfaction of themselves and their families after a hard day’s work rather than ask for hand downs due to the high unemployment. Assin doesn’t need hand downs, they need a helping hand up for them to stand on their own two feet. it should not be a curse to live in Assin Central, it is not right, it is not ok, “It is better to teach each other how to fish, rather than feed fish”, he said.

As such he will want to offer himself to represent Assin Central as their Parliamentary Candidate to serve the Assin community with dignity and respect and help improve their living standards by breaking barriers and bureaucracies and bring developmental projects to the area. He called on all NPP delegates to embrace not only his manifesto but also listen to all other candidates and make an informed decision and choose the best candidate to represent them.

In the interim, Mr Baidoo has embarked on the project to keep Assin clean by distributing trash bins and other sanitation equipment to the good people of the constituency as well as providing training on entrepreneurial skills, social responsibility etc.

How could you fall for a lady with such long fingers nails? – Kennedy Agyapong to Kan Dapaah

How could you fall for a lady with such long fingers nails? – Kennedy Agyapong to Kan Dapaah Member of Parliament of Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong is of the view that Albert Kan Dapaah should not be crucified over the amorous video with a lady identified as Chantelle Kujawu but is wondering how the National Security minister could fall for a lady with long and scary finger nails. The legislator making a submission on Oman FM indicated that he is “not clean”, neither is any man, hence will be unfair and hypocritical to castigate his fellow man for engaging in such an act. “Let the clean cast the stone,” he said but hilariously questioned why Mr. Kan Dapaah could not fall for something better. “I looked at the lady’s finger nails and wondered ‘what could National Security minister be doing with such finger nails?’” Like Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Samuel Nartey George and satirist Kwame A Plus, Mr. Agyapong suggested that the incident was orchestr...
