Stripe Off Mahama Of Any Privileges And Benefits He Is Enjoying As A Former President... NPP Commutator.

The Eastern Regional Communications Director of the Ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr David Prah has called on the Government to strip off Former President Mahama of any state privileges.

Speaking to the Media in Koforidua, Mr David Prah reiterated on Wednesday, that the former President has not lived up to expectation as a stateman, hence there's no need for him to enjoy the honour and  privileges he is currently enjoying.

According to the NPP Communications Guru, the Former President John Mahama after going to opposition based on his incompetence and thievery, has never made a unifying statements and it feels sad for the state to continue spending on him as a  Former Head of State

This call was made after the Former President John Mahama had mentioned that "If the electoral commission does not listen to them (NDC) and goes ahead to compile a new Voter Register and any strife or conflict occurs in the country, the electoral commission should accept the blame the blame thereof." Mr Prah believes such comments amongst others are not of good taste and that a man of his stature who is committed to peace shouldn't be speaking like that.

The NPP Outspoken Communicator therefore, called on the Government to strip off the Former President Mahama of any benefits and privileges , so that, he will be measured with his public utterances.

He added that, former leaders like the Former President John Agyekum Kufour and Jerry John Rawlings have exhibited true statemanship in their utterances and they are people the state should be spending on.

He stated that Mr. Mahama's  comment simply means "a call to war" and that does not constitute Statesmanship.

As a nation, we cannot spend on "War Monger" hence my call on the Government to strip-off all privileges and Benefits that are being enjoyed by the former President Mahama," Mr. Prah fumed.

He called on the good people of Ghana to ignore the "Call to War" comments from Mr. Mahama and support the President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by voting for him and all the NPP Parliamentary Candidates to continue with the good works they are doing towards the development of the country.

Mr. Prah ended by describing the comments made by John Mahama as reckless, useless and unfortunate since he expected the Former President to speak like a statesman rather than a mere noise maker on the street

NPP And NDC Playing "Chaskele"  With EC... Rev Dr Worlanyo Mensah Tensions between Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC), National Democratic Congress (NDC), and New Patriotic Party (NPP) have escalated over alleged discrepancies in the 2024 voter register. Rev Dr Samuel Worlanyo Mensah, vice presidential candidate for the All People's Congress (APC), economist and a lecture at Wisconsin university Accra, has warned that the NDC and NPP's actions during the limited voter registration and special transfer of vote exercise have compromised the register's integrity. "The two major parties were bussing people from their homes to registration centers, encouraging minors and foreigners to register," Dr. Worlanyo alleged. The NDC recently raised concerns upon receiving the provisional voters register, citing bloated electoral rolls in certain polling stations and alleged attempts by the EC to rig the December 7 polls in favor of the governing NPP. In res...

NPP Government Shortchanges Cocoa Farmers: A Closer Look at the Discrepancies.... Twifo Atti-Morkwa NDC Communication Officer. In recent years, Ghana's cocoa farmers have faced significant disparities in the payments they receive for their hard work. A comparison of current cocoa pricing practices under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government with those from the era of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) highlights a troubling trend: farmers are being shortchanged, while the government profits disproportionately. As of today, the global market price for cocoa stands at $6,470 per ton. With an exchange rate of Ghc 16.35 to $1, this translates to Ghc 105,784.50 per ton in Ghanaian cedis. Given that one ton comprises 16 bags, this sets the price per bag at Ghc 6,611.00. However, the current government pays cocoa farmers only Ghc 3,000 per ton—just 45.39% of the total price—retaining the remaining 54.61%, or Ghc 3,609.52 per ton. In stark contrast, under the NDC government led by J...

AFTER YEARS OF MINING IN AKWATIA – GHANA’S NEW ARTIFICIAL LAKE, THE ASUBONE STORY AND OUR TOURISM DRIVE  ABSTRACT.... H. BRAKO Diamonds were first discovered in the Gold Coast Colony (Ghana) near the Birim River close to the town of Abomosu in 1919. The Birim diamond discoveries led mining companies to invest along that river. However, not until 1929 did organized diamond mining begin following additional diamond discoveries made by Ghanaian prospectors in the gravels of Bediebewu streams near Tarkwa. In 1924, the Consolidated African Selection Trust (CAST) was formed and became the major diamond mining company in Ghana. Over 2 million carats were mined by CAST from 1924 to 1939. CAST’s early success led to investment in other diamond exploration and mining ventures in West Africa particularly in Ghana – resulting in the establishment of Great Consolidated Diamond (GCD).  1n 1963 Lake Asubone was created artificially in Asubone near Akwatia in Denkyembour District of Gh...
