NDC Condemns  Ntim Fordjour For Dismissing  Boshyba fm's News Editor

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has slammed the Assin South Member of Parliament (MP), Reverend John Ntim Fordjour for dishearteningly dismissing the News Editor of Bohyeba Fm, Mr. Kofi Tutu for demanding social accountability.

This was contained in  a release signed by Mr. Vincent Adade Affram, the Assin South Communications Officer for the party on Friday, December 1, 2023.

The statement sought to drawn the attention to what it called the "contemptuous dismissal" of Mr. Tutu by Rev. Fordjour.

“The unjust treatment of citizens, especially within this democratic era, is disheartening and unlawful.

“We urgently and strongly demand the immediate reinstatement of Mr. Tutu or seek justice through legal means," the NDC said.

The MP is also the Deputy Minister of Education and the owner of the Nyakumasi-based local radio station, which has become an extension of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) communications trick.

Mr. Tutu was reportedly dismissed for boldly requesting a fair share of the national resources to address the dire conditions at Nyakumasi Ahenkro market.

Despite Mr. Tutu's plea to address the market's dilapidation, the lawmaker heartlessly terminated the journalist's appointment, reflecting the government's silence on accountability and probity.

According to the party, the constituency faces serious challenges ranging from poor infrastructure, deplorable markets and youth unemployment among others.

Regrettably, Rev. Fodjour remains indifferent to the constituents' plight, prioritizing personal errands over addressing crucial issues.

Furthermore, the party rallied the support of all in advocating for justice for Mr. Tutu and family.

“We call upon all concerned Ghanaians, Civil Society Organizations, the Ghana Journalists Association, and justice-seeking government agencies to advocate for the reinstatement of Mr. Tutu and to address the broader issues affecting the constituency's development," the NDC advocated.

NPP And NDC Playing "Chaskele"  With EC... Rev Dr Worlanyo Mensah Tensions between Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC), National Democratic Congress (NDC), and New Patriotic Party (NPP) have escalated over alleged discrepancies in the 2024 voter register. Rev Dr Samuel Worlanyo Mensah, vice presidential candidate for the All People's Congress (APC), economist and a lecture at Wisconsin university Accra, has warned that the NDC and NPP's actions during the limited voter registration and special transfer of vote exercise have compromised the register's integrity. "The two major parties were bussing people from their homes to registration centers, encouraging minors and foreigners to register," Dr. Worlanyo alleged. The NDC recently raised concerns upon receiving the provisional voters register, citing bloated electoral rolls in certain polling stations and alleged attempts by the EC to rig the December 7 polls in favor of the governing NPP.
