HON. GEORGE KWAME ABOAGYE, MP, SECURES TRANSFORMER FOR AKIM AKROSO AMANFROM

The Member of Parliament for the Asene-Akroso-Manso Constituency and Ranking Member on the Energy Committee of the 9th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye, has successfully secured a replacement transformer through the Ministry of Energy for the people of Akim Akroso Amanfrom.

The unfortunate breakdown of one of the ECG transformers supplying electricity to a significant section of the Amanfrom community has resulted in a total blackout for approximately four weeks, causing considerable inconvenience to residents and businesses.

Following sustained engagements with the Ministry of Energy and relevant stakeholders, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye has secured a replacement transformer, which is expected to arrive in the constituency on Monday, 1st June 2026. Installation works will commence immediately to restore power supply to the affected areas.

Through this press release, we wish to inform the people of Akim Akroso Amanfrom and the entire constituency of this important development.

We also urge residents to remain calm and cooperate with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), the Ministry of Energy, and all stakeholders to ensure the successful replacement and commissioning of the transformer.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of the affected communities and assure them of our continued commitment to addressing their concerns.
