Constitution Day: Amend Some Constitutional Provisions To Allow The Election Of MMDCEs.......GJN.  Today is Constitution Day, a public holiday set aside to mark the coming into effect of the 1992 Constitution and the birth of the Fourth Republic. The Ghana Journalists Network (GJN) wishes all a memorable holiday. The day reminds Ghanaians of their commitment to uphold the tenets of the rule of law, constitutionalism, and democracy. More importantly, the day is to remind the citizens of their collective commitment to a regime of uninterrupted constitutional order. It also states, in very clear terms, the fundamental rights and duties of all citizens. Ghana Journalists Network (GJN) condemns “barbaric attack” on Cape FM journalist, demands arrest of attackers.  The Ghana Journalists Network (GJN) condemns the unprovoked attack on a Cape Coast-based Cape FM journalist, Mr. David Kobbina by some hoodlums of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) on Thursday, January 4, 2024. The GJN demands the immediate arrest and prosecution of these social miscreants to serve as a deterrent to others. It further calls on the government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), the diplomatic community, international agencies, and all well-meaning Ghanaians to roundly condemn the attack. Such moves, the GJN believes, will significantly reduce the apparent political tension in the run-up to the 2024 general election.   NDC Condemns  Ntim Fordjour For Dismissing  Boshyba fm's News Editor The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has slammed the Assin South Member of Parliament (MP), Reverend John Ntim Fordjour for dishearteningly dismissing the News Editor of Bohyeba Fm, Mr. Kofi Tutu for demanding social accountability. This was contained in  a release signed by Mr. Vincent Adade Affram, the Assin South Communications Officer for the party on Friday, December 1, 2023.  The statement sought to drawn the attention to what it called the "contemptuous dismissal" of Mr. Tutu by Rev.   Bohyeba FM Response To Former News Editor's Dismissal.  Kofi Tutu, Former Staff of Bohyeba Fm was sacked after series of warnings and serving suspensions at different times on various disciplinary issues bothering on ethical and professional standards.  He was sacked by the General Manager of the station for ethical misconduct Deputy Minister Not Involve.  The station is not a political station but rather a neutral commercial station focused on the public with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.  All employees are expected to exhibit minimum standards of discipline, ethics and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.  The Code of Conduct of the media house is managed by Management without any interference whatsoever by Deputy Minister Education who established the station. JOHN NTIM FORDJOUR The Ghana Journalists Network (GJN) is appalled by the unjust and inhumane dismissal of the News Editor of Bohyeba Fm, Mr. Francis Arthur Marfo widely known in the media space as Kofi Tutu.  The Fm Station is located at Nyankumasi Ahenkuro in the Assin South District of the Central Region. The seasoned journalist and a blogger was apparently dismissed on Friday afternoon by text message.  Thereafter, he was disrespectfully removed from all the station's platforms by the manger of the station without explanation.
