Petition Against Bosome Freho DCE; As Founding Members Confirmed Galamsey Allegations

We the under listed founding members of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bosome Freho wish to petition his excellency the president of the republic of Ghana about the conduct of the District Chief Executive (D .C.E) of Bosome Freho  District of Ashanti Region

The D C E has no respect for the founding members, opinion leaders and the respectable people in the Constituency.

He is a Galamsey Kingpin in the District especially in the forest areas destroying water bodies and forest lands in the following areas

1. Bosomtwe Forest at Adakabunso,

2. Minti Forest at Minti

3. Dannso Forest at Dannso

4. Nkwantapong

5. Yapessa

6. Asiwa ie the District Capital

7. Japaadu

8. Nsuaem 2

9. Semdadieso and Annumso and enjoying proceeds of Thirty Thousand (Ghc 30,000.00) each month from these operatives meanwhile the rent advance payment of party office is being paid by the constituency party hierarchy.

His Galamsey operations Manager is Mr. Bismark Ofosu Asare a citizen of Asiwa and an appointee assemblyman of the District.

He has shared the school feeding among his wife, in-law, girlfriends, family members and himself

His relationship with former members of Parliament has been full of conflicts that affects development of the District. He has dismissed ten (10) zoomlion employees who were employed since the inception of the zoomlion programme have since been members of the New Patriotic Party and three other staunch members of our party recently. The reason for their being laid off is the fact that they voted against  his own sponsored assemblyman who together with his family have been a known NDC supporters.

His imposition of persons to contest as assembly members in some electoral areas affected the Presidential and Parliamentary results of the party in those communities in addition to some uncouth statements he made to the people also made campaigning  there very difficult for the newly elected Member of Parliament meanwhile all such candidates he imposed lost their bid. and those electoral areas are; Asiwa, Mmrotuo, Anyanso, Nsuaem 11, Dannso/ Anyinaase.

As a result of poor relationship between the DCE and the founding members in the District, the former Chairman with his campaign team involving former secretary, former women organizer were on a campaign tour to one of the problem communities by name Annumso and they were involved in a lorry accident of which the campaign team sustained various degrees of injuries, the DCE never attended to them and his statement was that who sent you to campaign.

RESULTS OF PRESIDENTIAL AND PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

Total registered votes 34,180

PRESIDENTIAL:  NPP 21,220

PRESIDENTIAL:  NDC6509

PARLIAMENTARY:  NPP 20,401

PARLIAMENTARY: NDC 7093

It is the first time National Democratic Congress (NDC) is having this rise in voter numbers due to the bad conduct of the DCE.

It must be indicated clearly that before 2020 elections our DCE was hosted on Wontumi TV who said that should NDC votes go beyond four thousand (4000) he will resign.

His divisive attitude creates division among constituency executives which affects party work.

At Nkwantapong the community had to hire their own bulldozer and gladder to re-shape their road when the DCE was first consulted he insulted the Chief and the people meanwhile the road to that community was first constructed by Hon. Ofori Kuragu the former member of parliament for the constituency

On this note we the organizers of this press conference is calling on his excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo  not to re-appoint Honourable Yaw Danso because he lacks leadership qualities and has problem with most of the communities

Background

The petition above, vindicate the leader of "concern Youth of Bosome Freho" Mr. Baffour Asare galamsey allegations made against him some few days ago.

Attached is the full statement released by 'Concern Youth of Bosome Freho'

A pressure Group calling itself Concern youth of Bosome Freho who are also supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is calling for the removal of the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Yaw Danso of Bosoho Freho District in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking to 1stnnews.blogspot.com and Twifo praso based radio station sweet fm in an exclusive interview the  leader of the group Mr Baffour Asare vociferously lamented that since his appointment as the DCE, he has showed gross incompetence and therefore does not qualify for the position again.

He said the DCE does not have their backing following his disrespectful status towards Bosome Freho Residents.

"We don't want to see Yaw Danso as Bosome Freho DCE, he does not respect anyone in the district not even assembly members or chiefs. We will not sit as watchdogs for Akufo-Addo to reappoint him. We will do everything possible to reject him. Mr Danso is unfit for the post", Mr Baffour Asare stated.

Hon. Yaw Danso has come under numerous criticisms over gross incompetence, old age and display of disrespect.

The following allegations were leveled against Hon. Yaw Danso as DCE;

He has engaged himself in Timber business destroying Danso forest reserve.

He is being supervising   More than 10 excavators in bankroso for Galamsey.

Hon. Yaw Danso has no respect for the party executives in the constituency.

This is the 1st time in history NDC  has had the highest votes in Asiwa due to the bad conduct of the DCE

Moreover, the group hinted that, the DCE is not committed to work for the betterment of his people and thus not appreciative of the honour of been appointed to such a noble office.

'What we are saying is very simple; we've had enough of Yaw Danso and we the youth are calling for Kofi Adu - Amoateng as our new DCE', they lamented

C/R: Assin Oboba Kokorowa Pupils Are Forced To Study In Dilapidated And Death Trap Building The fate of over 500 pupils at the Assin Obobakokrowa D/A Basic School in the Assin North District of the Central Region hangs in the balance as they learn under dilapidated structures. The the Assin Obobakokrowa D/A Basic School has not seen any major rehabilitation since its establishment in 1970s. Parents and residents in and around the community are appealing for urgent assistance due to the deteriorating condition of their classroom blocks .  The school's infrastructure has become unsafe, forcing pupils to learn under dire circumstances. Parts of the aluminum roofing sheets are rusting away, while their remains hang loosely on the tiny erected concrete pillars. Class sessions end abruptly whenever the clouds gather.  “Our roof is ripping off. And when it rains, it leaks into our classroom, so we have to end classes.  “When it leaks, our books get wet and we are not able...

NPP 2024 Elections Defeat: Assin Central Presented A Weak Parliamentary Candidate ...Constituents Reveals.

NPP 2024 Elections Defeat: Assin Central Presented A Weak Parliamentary Candidate ...Constituents Reveals. The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) staggering defeat in the 2024 general election has prompted a nationwide introspection, as the party seeks to understand the underlying causes of its loss. One of the most shocking losses was the Assin Central seat, which had been a stronghold for the NPP since 2000 under the leadership of Kennedy Agyapong. In a surprising turn of events, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) managed to wrestle the seat away from the NPP, leaving many to wonder what factors contributed to this unexpected outcome. To gain a deeper understanding of the reasons behind this defeat, independent media personalities engaged with residents in the area, gathering their thoughts and opinions on the matter. The majority of those interviewed attributed the loss to the  unappealing posture of the 2024 NPP candidate for Assin Central, Godfred Nti Anewu, who struggled ...
