Central Regional FA Chairman Tours Upper Denkyira East And West



The central regional Football Association chairman Mr. Tieku Duncan as part of his central regional tour, paid three days visit to upper Denkyira East And West Assembly from 1st to 3rd July to brief the press and also highlight his intention of developing the Juveniles and women's football in the region.

Briefing the press on some of his manifesto as a regional chairman, he stated that. His policy is to make sure football get to the grassroots; hence he urged all media fraternity especially the department of football to educate, encourage and promote local football games in their locality. "We devote most of our time in foreign football, it's time to pay much of our attention to our local matches/games"

Furthermore, Mr. Duncan appealed to the parents through the press to help both financially and also encourage their words who has the talent in the football games because they would become the future players to replace the senior players we are having. Education is very important but we should not discourage our children if they show the interest in the football games. He also visited the new stadium in the the Upper Denkyira East Municipal.

Mr. Duncan finally revealed that, the Ghana football association is now going to handle the referees in Ghana but not the referees association hence if anyone is interested in the referees course should in get in touch with the Ghana football association.

During the tour, he first visited upper Denkyira East where Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Upper Denkyira East Hon. Isaac Awuah  vowed to create an administrative office to the Football Association, central regional branch to aid in the promotion of the juveniles and women Football in the Municipal.

In an interview with Hon. Awuah, he said he is a football fan hence he will do his possible best get an administrative office for the association in the Municipal for the management of the juveniles and women football football. He also appealed to the chairman to organize some football games in the Municipality since they now have an  extra modern stadium.

Secondly, Mr. Tieku Duncan visited Upper Denkyira West where he met the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Asiedu Agyemang and he also assured to support the Association with an administrative office to help in the management of the juveniles and women club in the District.

Hon. Agyemang appealed to Mr Duncan that, he should make sure measures are put in place regulate the clubs in the District.
