Speaking in an interview on Sweet FM, the Twifo Hemang Lower-Denkyira & Ati-Morkwa districts police commander DSP Charles Adei Boateng disclosed that, since January this year, the cases of theft have astronomically increased in the districts with very alarming trend. People are consistently breaking into others rooms to steal, he lamented. In this regard, the police has introduced  additional patrol systems to augment the existing strategies. BRAKO Diamonds were first discovered in the Gold Coast Colony (Ghana) near the Birim River close to the town of Abomosu in 1919. The Birim diamond discoveries led mining companies to invest along that river. However, not until 1929 did organized diamond mining begin following additional diamond discoveries made by Ghanaian prospectors in the gravels of Bediebewu streams near Tarkwa.
