Former Member Of Parliament For Twifo Ati-Morkwa Constituency Celebrates Birthday With Physically Challenged


The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Twifo Ati-Morkwa constituency in the central region who double as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ato Groups Of Companies which include Twifo Praso based radio station sweet fm, Hon. Dr. Samuel Ato Amoah on the 7th January, 2022 donated assorted items such as bags of rice, cooking oil, eggs among others to the people living with disability in the district to commemorate his birthday.

Speaking at the function, the former Member Of Parliament said, celebrating his birthday with these special people that are neglected in most of our communities has become part of him and stressed that not only people living with disability. He sited that last year, he celebrated his birthday with the Ghana Police Service in the district where he organized dinner, awards and prize giving party for them. Hon. Dr. Ato also hinted that, during the birthday of his spouse madam Mary Amoah on the October 2, 2021, she also paid all the hospital bills for pregnant women who were delivered at Twifo Praso Government hospital 

"My mission is to improve the livelihood and put smiles on the face of the less privileged in the district through simply act of benevolence", He stated.

Hon. Dr. Samuel Ato Amoah alluded that there are people who lack basic necessities of life such as food and clothing by no fault of theirs.

He established that everyone deserves love because we are one people with unique individual talents and aspirations. Adding that he has always wanted to use his birthday celebrations to mark generosity but according to him, this year was the right time for such gesture as he donated massively to support the less privileged in the district.

On behalf of the overwhelmed physically challenged people with some of them being amputees, hunchbacks, cripples, blind among others, 

Mr. Eric Sesi who is the Twifo Ati-Morkwa district chairman for Ghana Federation of Disabled expressed a profound gratitude to Hon Dr. Ato Amoah for the kind gesture and appealed to NGOs, corporate  bodies and institutions to often come to the aid of the less privileged in society.

Meanwhile, during the New year celebration on Monday 1st January, 2022, Hon Dr. Samuel Ato Amoah organized a dinner party for all the commercial drivers in the Twifo Ati-Morkwa district and used the occasion to sensitized the drivers on road safety regulations where the drivers also had the opportunity to reveal the challenges they also endure in the district.
